About our business
This position is responsible for supporting our Assurance engagements in our Service Delivery Center. The Service Delivery Center is made up of high-performing, US-based resources who work closely with our experienced professionals to deliver services required to support our audit engagements. Our Service Delivery Center is based in San Antonio, TX.
Due to this level of work, you’ll need to be detail-oriented, analytical, and follow standardized written procedures closely.
What you will do
- Assist with execution and documentation of standardized procedures under direction of the Assurance Senior Analyst.
- Document clearly and accurately the execution of procedures as defined.
- Execute standardized procedures in a timely fashion to meet client service team deadlines, and manage expectations regarding the timing of related deliverables.
- Communicate identified exceptions or non-reoccurring situations to the Assurance Senior Analyst for review.
- Ensure quality in delivering client service by executing procedures as prescribed and informing the Assurance Senior Analyst of the status of procedures.
- Follow well-defined processes, procedures and protocols. Share unusual non-reoccurring situations with the Assurance Senior Analyst for further review.
- Analyze evidence, reach conclusions, and identify non-compliance while applying a balanced view.
- Operate in a hybrid work environment; required in-person training will take place at the start of the internship; from there interns are expected to work in the office 3 times a week, and follow the guidance of their teams regarding which days are in-office vs. virtual.
Job requirements and preferences
- Required qualifications
- Pursuing an Associate’s degree with prior business experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Preferred qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.
- Interest in basic accounting concepts.
- Ability to consistently follow standardized procedures.
- Attention to detail and diligence in resolution of issues.
- Ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task on projects and assignments.
- Ability to learn new software tools.
